Safety is not an option, it is a requirement. Our Ø 50 mm glass point holder is therefore the best-selling product for construction projects with structural requirements. It combines unbeatable value for money with tested industrial quality.
This holder is the benchmark for fall protection (railings) and demanding overhead glazing (canopies). Where smaller holders reach their limits, the 50 mm plate offers the necessary reserve and contact surface for heavy laminated safety glass (LSG).
🛡️ Your advantage: With a General Building Inspection Certificate (AbP)
With this product, you are legally on the safe side. The bracket has an AbP. For your project, this means:
- ✔ Immediate approval: The test certificate confirms suitability for use. You generally save yourself the expense and hassle of obtaining ‘case-by-case approval’ (ZiE) from the building authority.
- ✔ Certified safety: Tested for rail loads and overhead applications.
Flexibility: As a set or individually
As with our other models, the Ø 50 mm bracket is usually supplied as a complete set (including rubber pads and standard threaded rod), so you can get started straight away.
But we know that professionals often have specific requirements. If you put the bracket together individually (e.g. with your own threaded rods for large wall spacings), the technical calculations differ from those for the smaller 40 mm bracket.
⚠ Please note when customising: The 6 mm rule
As the Ø 50 mm bracket is more robustly constructed and features thicker seals, the deduction in the formula changes. To determine the correct threaded rod length, please ensure you use this formula:
= minimum threaded pin length
Important: Unlike the 40 mm holder (where the deduction is -3 mm), 6.0 mm must be deducted here! “B” is the dimension of the base body as shown in the drawing. The 15 mm allowance ensures that the thread engages deeply enough in the lower part.
