In the FeNau online shop, you can find Klöpper bottoms with diameters ranging from 21.9 to 120 millimetres. Other names for these Klöpper bottoms include semi-circular shells and domed bottoms. They differ from the slightly less flat basket-arch bottoms. The wall thickness of the Klöpper bottoms available here in the online shop is either 1.5, 2 or 2.5 millimetres. This is perfectly adequate for sealing pipes. By contrast, Klöpper bottoms used as the bottoms of hot water or buffer tanks, for example, generally have a slightly greater wall thickness and a much larger diameter. Georg Kloppsch, who lived from 1874 to 1951, is regarded as the inventor of the relatively pressure-resistant Klöpper head, which is modelled on an egg.
