Corner crossbar brackets: the perfect solution for the 90° challenge

Anyone can do a straight run. The true quality of a balustrade is revealed where the direction changes: at the corner. Many suppliers let you down here, offering only unsightly ‘makeshift solutions’ or interrupted balusters.

Not so with FeNau. With our specialised crossbar brackets for corners (90° corner solutions), you can seamlessly continue the line of your railing. Whether the infill bar needs to be routed around a building edge (external corner) or converges in a recess (internal corner) – we have exactly the right component.

The principle: as well thought-out as in a technical drawing

Building around a corner requires precision. Our corner brackets are designed to hold or guide the rail at an exact 90° angle. This saves you from having to carry out complicated bending work on site. We distinguish between two main variants that you need for a complete "circumference":

1. The external corner (90° external)

The scenario: Your railing runs around a balcony or a corner of the house.

The FeNau solution: Here, the bracket protrudes slightly further or is specially angled to guide the infill bar neatly around the post. The line of the crossbars is not interrupted; the design remains seamless.

2. The inside corner (90° inside)

The scenario: The railing runs in an L-shape along the inside of a wall or terrace.

The FeNau solution: Here, the bars meet at the inner angle. Our inner corner crossbar brackets are designed to be so compact that they bring the bars together precisely at the corner point without the bracket mounting plates blocking each other.

No sharp edges, no interruptions

Why is a dedicated corner solution for crossbar brackets so important?

  • Safety: You avoid exposed rail ends at the corner where people could get caught or injured.
  • Stability: The corner connection creates a structural composite. The entire railing becomes stiffer and more stable.
  • Aesthetics: Instead of two blunt ends, you see an elegant, continuous line of stainless steel.

📏 Expert planning tip:
Look at the floor plan of your project from above (as on a technical drawing).
If the post is positioned exactly in the corner, you will need exactly one corner bracket per row of crossbars. Check beforehand whether you need an inside or outside corner . At FeNau, both variants are available to fit our standard connectors.
