Stainless steel hinge pins: the flexible solution for any angle
When constructing stair railings or ramps, rigid connections quickly reach their limits. This is where our adjustable hinge pins come into play. Thanks to the integrated, solid hinge, the angle of the handrail can be continuously adjusted to match the rise of your staircase. They form the flexible link between the post and the handrail bracket, ensuring that the handrail fits perfectly to the structural layout.
Round or square? An overview of our variants
To match your balustrade system, we offer hinge pins in various designs and dimensions. Choose the look that suits your posts:
1. Round hinge pins (Ø 12 mm & Ø 14 mm)
The standard for round stainless steel posts. These pins feature a robust joint capable of withstanding high shear forces. Available in various connection variants:
- With thread (male/female): For easy installation on support pins or directly in the post.
- Material: Available in V2A (internal) and V4A (external).
2. Square hinge pins (Design Line)
For modern square-tube railings, we stock special square hinge pins (e.g. 12x12 mm or 14x14 mm). They combine the cubic look of the post with the necessary flexibility for the staircase. A visual highlight in modern architecture.
Installation & adjustment
Installation is extremely simple: the lower part of the pin is firmly attached to the post (screwed or welded). You then mount the handrail bracket onto the upper hinge piece. Once the handrail is in place and the correct angle has been achieved, tighten the joint screw firmly to secure the position permanently. This guarantees a wobble-free hold for years to come.
