Crossbar brackets for glass, panels & dual-system railings: It’s the mix of materials that makes the difference
A modern balustrade thrives on the interplay of materials. Whilst classic railing systems rely solely on crossbars, our **special crossbar holders** allow you to combine stainless steel with glass, perforated sheet metal or Trespa panels.
At FeNau, you’ll find the right adapters and brackets to safely bring your creative ideas to life. Transform a simple balustrade into an opaque privacy screen or a design-oriented architectural feature. Our multi-brackets and panel brackets made from solid stainless steel provide you with a structurally tested foundation for this.
1. Double crossbar bracket: Better safe than sorry
Why use just one rail when two will do? Our double crossbar brackets support two infill rails in parallel.
- A denser appearance: The double rail arrangement makes the railing appear more solid and closed.
- Increased safety: The gaps between the bars are reduced, making it harder for children to climb through (an important consideration regarding the ‘ladder effect’).
- Design statement: A double rail holder is a technical eye-catcher that stands out clearly from standard construction methods.
2. Panel & glass holders for crossbars: The perfect adapter
Would you like to integrate flat elements into your railing? With our **cross-bar plate holders** and **glass holders**, you can create the connection between the round infill bar and the flat plate.
- Cross-bar panel holders: These clever adapters are slid directly onto the infill bar (crossbar). They allow perforated panels, advertising signs or acrylic glass to be screwed directly onto the railing.
- Glass holders for railing bars: Transform your bar railing into a glass combination. These holders clamp the glass securely whilst being firmly attached to the crossbar themselves. Rubber inserts protect the glass from stress cracks.
- Applications: Ideal for privacy screens on balconies, windbreaks on patios or as decorative infill in stairwells.
⚠️ Important safety note:
When attaching glass or heavy panels (e.g. sheet steel) to crossbar holders, different forces (wind load!) are at play compared to standard balusters. Ensure that your posts and crossbar holders are designed to withstand these loads. If in doubt, ask our FeNau team!
Quality for demanding projects
Precision is particularly important when it comes to panel holders. If the clamping jaws are not exactly parallel, the glass will shatter or the sheet metal will rattle.
- Material quality: We use high-quality V2A (AISI 304) or V4A (AISI 316) stainless steel for all holders.
