The versatile professional standard: Glass point holder Ø 52 mm (V2A / V4A)

When standard holders don’t fit, this is the one to use. Our Ø 52 mm glass point holder is the universal solution for metal construction. It bridges the gap between the delicate 40 mm holders and the heavy-duty 70 mm anchors.

Its strength lies in its enormous variety of connection options. This is one of the few holders on the market that is also available as standard for large tube diameters (48.3 mm). Thanks to the slightly larger plate diameter (52 mm), it also offers a generous contact surface and neatly covers glass drill holes of 22 mm.

One bracket for all pipes & walls

Configure the Ø 52 mm bracket exactly as your substructure requires. We supply three precise connection variants:

The connection options

  • Flat connection: The classic choice for concrete walls, masonry or square tubes.
  • Ø 42.4 mm connection: A perfect fit for standard balustrade posts.
  • 48.3 mm connection (1 ½ inches): The professional size! Many standard brackets stop at 42 mm. This bracket fits perfectly onto the thicker 48.3 mm structural tubes, enabling particularly stable railings.

The materials

  • Stainless steel V2A (AISI 304): Our standard for long-lasting applications indoors and in normal outdoor environments.
  • Stainless steel V4A (AISI 316): The durable choice for coastal areas, swimming pools or areas with high air pollution.
  • Additional option: For special design requirements, this bracket is also available in black (RAL 9005) on request.

Technical details for your planning

This holder is designed for flexibility. It securely accommodates a wide range of glass thicknesses:

  • Clamping range: 6.00 mm to 21.52 mm (covers ESG and thicker VSG).
  • Required glass drill hole: 22 mm.

👨‍🔧 Expert advice: Calculations for custom projects

Many of our customers use the Ø 52 mm bracket for custom designs (e.g. with threaded rods for large wall clearances). Please note: Due to the more robust construction and the thicker rubber inserts, the calculation for the pin length differs from that of the smaller 30/40 mm brackets.

For the Ø 52 mm bracket, you must use this formula to determine the minimum length of the threaded pin:

B + glass thickness - 6.0 mm + allowance 15 mm
= minimum length of threaded pin
Important: The deduction here is 6.0 mm (unlike with small holders). “B” is the dimension of the base body as per the drawing. The 15 mm allowance ensures the necessary screw-in depth.

Whether for 42 mm or 48 mm tubing, in V2A or V4A: with the Fenau Ø 52 mm glass point holder, you have the right standard holder for every structural requirement at your fingertips.
